Our story
A word spoken for this moment
Rhema Edition is a small, independent Christian bookstore. We believe the right book, read at the right time, can steady a soul.
What “Rhema” means
Scripture uses two words for “word.” Logos is the whole counsel of God — the wide, settled truth of it. Rhema is the living word spoken into a specific moment: the verse that arrives on the afternoon you needed it. [EDIT: add your own one-line definition here.]
We named the shop after the second one. Every title we carry is chosen for a season someone might be walking through — grief, waiting, beginning again. [EDIT: add a sentence about your own tradition or church background, if you would like.]
Our mission
To make it easy for ordinary readers to find an honest Christian book — one that does not flatter, rush, or oversell — and to give away as many of them as we can to people who cannot afford them. [EDIT: replace with your mission statement.]
We keep the shelves small on purpose. Every book here has been read by someone on staff, and we would rather carry thirty good books than three thousand unread ones. [EDIT: adjust the numbers to match how you actually buy.]
A note from our founder
“I opened this shop in a room with one window and four shelves, after a year in which the only thing that helped was a psalm read aloud each morning. I am not trying to sell you a library. I am trying to hand you the book someone once handed me.”
